Abstract
What are the teaching combinations of teachers of physical education in the Negro high schools in the state of Arkansas? The problem considered in this investigation is one of determining the subject which men physical education teachers are required to teach in the high schools for Negroes in the state of Arkansas. Particular emphasis will be placed on those subjects that are not ordinarily included in the field of physical education.
The purposes of this study are: 1. To ascertain the teaching combinations of the physical education instructors in the Negro high schools in the state of Arkansas. 2. To determine what subjects a prospective teacher of high school physical education should be prepared to teach. 3. To provide information that may be helpful to those institutions which are responsible for the preparation of Negro teachers in the state of Arkansas.
