Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the food expenditures of ten rural families in Bowie County, Texas to find out whether or not the amount of money spent serves its purpose in making the diet adequate. It also is to provide information for families with low incomes who are confronted with the problem of providing the diet that meets their needs.
