About This Journal

The Griot - Southern Conference on African American Studies, Inc. solicits articles relative to any disciplinary perspective in the humanities, which further enhances knowledge of the African Diaspora (i.e., African, African American, Caribbean) experience. Poetry and book reviews will also be published. The Griot, the organ of the Southern Conference on African American Studies, Inc., is published in the Woolfolk Digital Preservation Lab, the Division of Social Sciences, at Prairie View A&M University, Prairie View, Texas.

It is preferred that articles submitted for publication be typed and between 5,000 and 7,500 words, and should conform to a style manual in the author's discipline. Please send a digital copy of the original manuscript in a Microsoft Word (docx) file and a brief autobiographical sketch.
