Abstract
The methodology of Extention teaching covers a great variety of problems which exist under varying conditions. Extension teaching is not a systematic form of instruction, however, it does have much in common with the newer concept in teaching, in that it deals directly with practical problems which confront the farmer and the homemaker.
The county home demonstration agent in agricultural extension work employed under the provisions of the smith lever act is a representative of the people of the county, the state college of agriculture, and the united states department. Extension work is part of the state and national educational system for its rural people and emphasizes practice of teaching them on their own farms and in their several communities.
