Abstract
Many profound changes are taking place in rural united states with important and far-reaching effects on vocational agriculture. These changes are rooted deeply in history and are a part of the worldwide movements.
Many teachers are becoming because the number of farm boys in their school districts is rapidly declining. farm population has declined one-half in some counties since 1930.
The large farms are getting larger, and the total number of farms has declined more than one hundred thousand since 1935. According to Dr. Paul Roper, farm economist, 1,600,000 will leave by 1960.
