Abstract
This work is an analytical study of critical literature which deals with the Keynesian consumption function.
The purpose of this study is to discover, identify and evaluate problems incurred in testing for the statistical validity of the consumption function.
The scope is limited in two ways; (1) to those studies that are generally regarded to be the most pertinent; and (2) to the consumption function as an element in Keynes general theory of sufficient importance to warrant relative treatment.
