Abstract
The importance of homemaking as a part of the adult education program is becoming well recognized. The public is learning to accept homemaking ng as a branch of science requiring training for skill in its manipulation* Just as do other phases of scientific endeavor. It is as impractical to expect a woman to plan well balanced meals for the development of a healthy family, to meet her child training problems wisely, to plan the most economical division of the income, or to perform any of the duties of a modern home with skill and efficiency without training, as it is to expect her to recite Shakespeare 1 s Hamlet or to play Lists*s Hungarian Rhapsody without training.
