Abstract
The dramatic changes in the structure of farming during the last two decades and the expected continuation of these trends require a higher level of management today in part years. Some of these changes are: increase in the size of farms business, increase in capital requirements, a greater degree of specialization of farm production, shifts in kinds of resources used by farmers, use of government agencies, and off-farm employment. Part-time farmers experience great difficulty in adjusting to these changing conditions.
