Abstract
This experiment was conducted to determine the spelling ability of 1947-48 Prairie View Freshmen.
This experiment proposed to do two things: first, to make an analysis of spelling ability of 1947-48 Prairie View Freshmen; and secondly, to determine to what extent the spelling ability improved during the 1947-48 semester.
This experiment proposes to be analytical, thereby serving as a valuable source for the teachers interested in improving spelling skills and growth of Prairie View students.
No comparison is being made at this time of college freshmen spelling, because the writer could find no available standards from which to compare. This study includes only the freshmen students at Prairie View College.
