Abstract
The success of a student's high school career depends to a great extent upon the home facilities and conveniences. Improvements of the living conditions were always considered an urgent need of the family; however, very little emphasis has been placed on planning and improving of the home conditions in the community. An effort was made in this study to determine the facilities and conveniences available to students in the Groesbeck independent school district.
Information was obtained as to the size of families, size and condition of homes, and other modern conveniences in the house.
The importance of better living conditions is appreciated by everyone, and it should be the desire of everyone to raise such standards. The condition of the homes in the Groesbeck independent school district gave the writer a keen realization that these conditions could be a governing factor as to a number of irregularities that are existing in the classrooms each day. It was believed that a study was needed in order to determine the prevalence of existing home conditions.
