Abstract
To make a comparative study of the physical education programs in two high schools in Waller County. The study should contribute the formation of standards for: 1. Judging the departments of physical education in high schools in so far as required courses are concerned. 2. Judging the contents of a high school physical education program. 3. Formation of a guide for the organization of a typical program and for the reorganization of the schools now rendering limited service.
There has been no previous study made. The programs are not well organized. The equipment is limited. The majority of the instructors of physical education are incapable of teaching the subject. The major fault is that they studied in other fields.
The study was limited to one county, Waller, and two schools. One colored and one white. There are 67 students in school B (colored) and 89 students in the department of physical education in school A (white).
