Abstract
San Jacinto High School does not only offer academic enrichment but is considered a technical high school offering courses in photography, welding, air-conditioning and refrigeration, vocational nursing, printing, auto mechanics, business education and home economics. Thus, the library at San Jacinto has a dual role of providing material for all areas of the school, both academic and technical. The library in a technical high school is confronted with many problems. Book selection is a major problem. The librarian has to provide books for both academic and technical students. The librarian welcomes suggestions from both students and teachers. In this way, an inseparable relationship exists in the interest of all. The library must be alert and alive to its responsibility to students and teachers. Therefore, the function of the library extends to all areas of the curriculum.
