Abstract
The purpose of this writing is to make clear the subject matter in plane geometry and introduce a method of teaching this subject matter so as to give students the most benefit from the course. Most students have the idea that mathematics, in general, is a course in the curriculum that is difficult to understand and has very little value in everyday life. In this suggested course of study, the author attempts to show how geometry may be made interesting to students and also how it may be applied in everyday life. The material in this thesis is the author's conception of the teaching of the subject in question. The author bases his conception upon his experiences as a student and also a practice teacher. The references used were used mainly to obtain definite facts contained in the subject.
