Abstract
Purpose: This report states the facts as well as the possibilities in regard to the establishment of a suitable community centre at Bessmay. It lists the territory and the number of people residing therein; it gives facts relative to the past, present, and future trends.
Source of information: The information for this report was received through (a) interviews; (b) study of local conditions; (c) study of other communities with and without communities; (d) reading books listed in the bibliography; (e) and classroom discussions. The inspiration to make this study was aroused while making a study of the Wiergate community centre in texas and Jackson camp in South Carolina. An earnest effort is made in this report to give a vivid description of Bessmay and the surrounding communities, its historical background and the forces active during that period. The scientific research has dealt with a number of people, their mode of livelihood, their place of meeting and their recreational facilities.
