Abstract
The school and other community agencies with educational programs, have tremendous opportunity to help to raise the standard of health and physical fitness of all citizens. As schools become more adept in meeting the needs of children, curricular materials for improving health attitudes and health habits at the same time, are being developed. The fact is encouraging that more schools than ever before are providing instruction in family health, as well as experiences which enable pupils to improve their health habits. This bibliography has been limited to those materials that were available for high school pupils, and adults as well as teachers of the two groups, from the period beginning January 1939 and extending through July 1955.
Therefore, the purpose of this study was to assemble as many references as could possibly be found, which might be useful in more nearly meeting the needs, interests, and concerns of youth and adults in the areas of Family Health and Home Care of the Sick.
