Abstract
Colored Junior High Schools of Houston, Texas. Attention is called In particular to the scope of the program recommended whereby the Junior high school becomes responsible for the vocational adjustments of all young people of junior high school age, whether in school or at work. Vocational guidance as planned in the Colored Houston Junior High Schools is used as the basis for the argument in this study. In the solution of this problem the writer will attest first, to consider the following things in relation to the three Junior High Schools in Houston, Texas; courses offered; second, to discuss what these courses have accomplished; third, to consider individual advising; fourth, and last to draw such conclusions as will logically grow out of the study. The information in this thesis was gained from various principals, superintendents, and through several personal interviews with the supervisors and teachers in this department in the Colored Houston Junior High Schools.
