Abstract
Statement of the problem.
The writer could not find records showing that a previous study has been made into the total population changes of Wharton County. This paper will attempt to show how Wharton County has made progress in the economic modernization, race relations, and county culture. Special emphasis will be devoted to illustrate the characteristics of aged as compared with the younger age group and the effects migration had upon total population and the economical condition of the community.
