Abstract
The Purpose of this Study is, to take under consideration the changing functions of the family, analyse some of its problems through questionnaires and interviews to see just what affect television has had on the family. Has it: 1. Helped to bring a closer relationship between husband and wife, parent and children, sisters and brothers? 2. Helped to keep the children in the home more? 3. Just what advantages or disadvantages can be seen through the use of television?
The Scope of the Study: This study is a survey of 100 families in Dallas, Texas, who are owners of television sets. The information was gathered through questionnaires and interviews.
