The Cooperative Extension Program (CEP), established in 1914, was designed as a partnership of the U. S. Department of Agriculture and land-grant universities, which were authorized by the federal, state, and local governments. CEP empowers farmers, ranchers, youth and communities of all sizes to meet the challenges they face, adapt to changing technology, improve nutrition and food safety, prepare for and respond to emergencies, and protect our environment. The Cooperative Extension Program’s main priority is taking knowledge gained through unbiased research and education and disseminating it directly to the people to create positive changes. This is accomplished through the work of local Extension agents also known as Extension educators. You can find more by visiting the Cooperative Extension Program https://pvamu.edu/cafnr/extension/
