Abstract
One of the most used entities in mathematics is the transformation of coordinates, A clear insight into the theory and applications of transformation of coordinates is essential to one's success in certain types of mathematical manipulations. In this paper, I have attempted to define several types of transformations with the idea that anyone reading this paper will get some concept of the importance of certain types of transformations. I have, however, discussed only a few of the most important transformations in this paper.
The scheme used in this paper proceeds somewhat in the following manner: First, the transformation is defined. Second, A discussion of the transformation. Third, An example is given to point up the importance. The paper closes by showing how transformation of coordinates is applied to integration.
